The third graduation ceremony for the Shah Noorani Institute of Technology (SNIT) was held on Tuesday November 9 in the lobby of the Institute specially decorated for the occasion.

Subsequently, the Business Development Manager at NCC, Laurence Foure, explained to students that they all have taken a decisive step in their education. This was echoed by Dr. Mayur Patel, Reader Academic Science Department at the University of Greenwich who congratulated them for their hard work: 

"This is the first time I attend a graduation
ceremony at SNIT. I hope that will inspire your academic future groups of students."

At the graduation ceremony, some 14 students received their degree in the field of Business Information Technology (BIT), 11 for the International Advance Diploma in Computer Studies (IADCS), and 22 for the International Diploma in Computer Studies (IDCS). Students for courses in Security +, Network +, A +, International Computer Driving License and Islamic Banking also received their certificates. The Graduation Ceremony 2010 has stood out from previous editions with two students who passed the exams with distinction ‘First Class’, including Fadil Aukbarally and Yaasiin Karimbocus for Business Information Technology.

A Regional High Achiever Award was presented to reward students in the Indian Ocean region. Thus Nicholas Wong and Farhanah Cassamally received this special award. Ahmed Noorani Imrit shone in a competition organized by the Institute of Engineering & Technology, finishing second runner-up.

You parents, you can be proud of your son and daughters, the SNIT has benefited from the vision of the late Maulana Shah Noorani doing pioneering work in the field of Information Technology in Mauritius.
