Never one to stand still and already the occupant of one of the most attractive campuses (50 000 Sq) in Mauritius, SNIT has added a striking second to cope with the consistently strong demand for ICT places. It has gone from being a solid civic institution to a prime alternative to other universities and training centres in Mauritius.

SNIT, being a 50,000 sq. feet campus provides IT courses at various levels ranging from short programmes to courses leading to a computer degree. Our first batch of graduates have completed their degree in June 2006.

SNIT has the vision to become one of the leading IT institutions in Mauritius to provide the best quality education with local and international recognition at the most affordable prices in a safe and pleasant environment as well as meeting the specific needs of the industry.

Director's Message

It is a great pleasure for me, today, to introduce the new web portal of the Shah Noorani Institute of Technology.

The Shah Noorani Institute of Technology started live in June 2001 and became fully operational in 2002. SNIT is engaged with international providers of tertiary education like the University of Huddersfield, NCC Education, and International Computer Driving License. I am very pleased to announce the partnership of SNIT with the University of Greenwich, for another top-up programme leading to a BSc (Hons) in Business and Information Technology.

Since 2002, SNIT has successfully trained around 800 professsionals in the field of information technology – several of whom are working as IT consultants, programmers, web and mobile developers, systems analysts, IT support, IT tutors and in other IT-related jobs.

SNIT has benefitted during the first 5 years of strong support from the World Islamic Mission, and from the commitment of its staff and students whose want to learn, innovate and shine has never wavered.

I am proud of the Shah Noorani Institute of Technology.
